S.H.A.K.E. is an inner city dance studio run by Nikki McIntyre.
S.H.A.K.E. Dance School started in 1998 in New Farm with 2 jazz classes and 9 students. It began as a part-time bit of fun for the principal and quickly expanded into a great big fun school filled with enthusiastic and talented students. We now do 7 different genres of dance, eisteddfods and over 200 exams each year. S.H.A.K.E dancers regularly perform at school fetes and community events and we have two major concerts at the end of each year.
Our students have gone on to further their education with the Queensland Ballet, QUT Fine Arts, ED5, Brent Street, WAPA and there are ex-students performing in shows all over the world. We are the first and only Queensland studio to have 2 students pass the highest level of ballet (Premier Danseur) with Comdance.
We pride ourselves on having a welcoming atmosphere and producing dancers with a positive attitude and great work ethic.
